Its the home of the former dixmont state hospital. Across the river from nevile island near the city of pittsburgh. Killbuck is a rather small department and community but have plans of merging with a few local departments. Keystone State Relics - Guest - 10-05-2008 Scott, The Pine Run tanker you posted is I think the same one that you posted earlier in the thread for New Sewickly Twp. FD. It must have been repainted at some point. As Rob said, Kilbuck is in Allegheny County. I was told last week that they no longer are in existence, and are working on a merge with Ben Avon to come back. Keystone State Relics - GA_Dave - 10-05-2008 I believe Steve is correct on the Marshall's Creek rig. When I shot it several years back, it had been refurbed by Pierce and repainted white with a blue stripe. Keystone State Relics - BA000049 - 10-06-2008 Scott, Sorry, I have been a little lax on my responses: Here is some additional info on your shots: Ludwigs Corner 1974 GMC 6500/Boyer, tilt cab, 1000/750. Cost $26,000 and this was the first piece ordered new by the young company, 427 CI gas engine, 5-speed manual transmission, 3 KW generator, for sale in early 1999 and sold to Liberal, Miss. For $3,800. 1984 Ford C8000/FMC Omega, canopy cab, 1250/750, Cat 3208T, automatic, 6 KW Onan diesel generator. It was housed on 9/15/84. This was the first canopy cab in the company. New water tank installed in 8/96. The rear hosebed was enlarged to accommodate 2000 ft of 5 inch supply line. It was donated to Harrison County, MS on 9/17/05 after their county lost half of their equipment in Hurricane Katrina. It is based at Long Beach, MI station. It left on a lowboy with Norco’s 1983 Ford C/FMC engine. 1971 White Compact/Tech Weld, tilt-cab, 1000/4400, Detroit diesel, automatic transmission, tandem rear axle, Windham Lo Pressure/Hi Volume pump, 60 psi. This was purchased used in 1983 from the Atlantic Richfield Company for a very low price. The tank was removed and the chassis was sold in 1989. 1980 Mack R Chassis, full cab, purchased used in 1989 and had the tank from the 1971 White remounted on it. Tandem rear axles with retracted third. It was sent to 4-Guys at the end of March of 1998 for a new tank, returned on 5/22 and placed back into service that same day. 1000/4000 Warwick (From Al Powell’s files) Ford CT-8000/Great Eastern (Grumman), 1000/3000, cabinet style tanker body, tandem rear axles, std.tilt- COE, in Jan,1991 original body replaced by 4-Guys with elliptical mirror-finish stainless steel body- 2500 gal capacity, 1000 gpm top-mount pump control console, walkway behind cab with 2 fold-up seats Westwood 1979 Ford CT-8000/Bruco, full cab, 1000/2200, tandem axle pumper-tanker. It was the first piece ordered with the new white over red paint scheme, Cat 3208 diesel, automatic, 4 KW generator. Chassis purchased from Wolfe Motors of Lancaster. It was housed on 6/14/80. It was rehabed and repainted after 1985. In 1992 the cab was rehabed and converted to a 4-door by Bruco which produced a rather unique looking Ford C cab. Tank leaking bad in late 2004. The tank was welded by a local welding shop in 1/05, placed back into service on 2/4/05. Sold on 11/4/05 with the 1985 Ford C/Bruco rescue-pumper for $45,000 in total for both to the Stewart County Fire Department, TN. Went south on 11/19/05. It was put up on E-Bay for sale in 07/07 by Stewart County. Keystone State Relics - taurudak - 10-07-2008 Some old parade pics. Gonna need some id's on some of them. Keystone State Relics - Richard_L_Dean_07405 - 10-07-2008
Millrift FC of Pike Co X-Eng 1 - 1964 Maxim 1000/500.
One of Millrift's chiefs, Doug Miller, was a victim of 9/11. He was working FDNY Rescue 5 on that fateful morning when dispatched to the WTC. The following July at the annual Port Jervis NY parade, something that nearby Millrift always participates in, Doug's immediate family was honored as "honorary grand marshalls" riding at the head of the parade. At the starting point, hundreds of uniformed firemen and others saluted the Miller family.
