[/quote] Although I can't confirm it, I was told once that a former Chicago Chief or Officer had gotten involved with Fed Heights after moving here. The rigs had been school bus yellow and he convinced them to go Chicago style. Two other departments along the front range have moved to Black over Red, Mountain View Fire District and the Wescott Fire District. [/quote] Actually the former Chief (Jim Krupa) at Federal Heights was an x-Cicero, Il firefighter but a big Chicago buff. I had the privilege of meeting him several times on my trips thru Denver in the early '90's.
