Aviation Photos - Post your "AirPics" here! - Pete(UK) - 06-15-2008 A view you dont see every day, over buckingham palace. A Corporal Scott Robertson snapped this view from the cockpit as military planes flew over Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen's birthday. Sorry for the angle, but my house is on the extended centerline, and when I heard this plane making its procedure turn inbound, I had only 15 seconds or so to grab the camera and shoot. JSTARS of all variants have a froward lower fuselage "canoe". Hanscoms always got some funky -135's with really wierd growths in and out weekly. This ones got a SLAR setup like the newer AWACS and the RC's Aviation Photos - Post your "AirPics" here! - brownphoto - 06-18-2008 [quote name='crashresq21' post='222721' date='Jun 18 2008, 20:11 ']Might be a RC-135V Rivet Ace or Rivet Joint a/c. Besides the way the house shakes when this puppy is on approach at about 1200 ft (pattern altitude), that confirms it! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> BTW, I thought there were only 2 of these in existence, are there more than that? joe brown Aviation Photos - Post your "AirPics" here! - Guest - 06-19-2008 [quote name='brownphoto' post='222744' date='Jun 18 2008, 21:15 ']Yes indeed, I agree with you on, but since this is N404PA - it is the 707. The old TF33's dont help the shaking either. This was a former Pan Am bird and bought by your USAF as a test bed and used by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Labs. A buddies of mine is a Capt at HAFB fire and told me they try to avoid these birds when they come in, lots of nasty ELINT stuff. Aviation Photos - Post your "AirPics" here! - brownphoto - 06-30-2008 Up next from my Mil Air collection is a US Marines C-130T from Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234 --- VMGR-234 MAG-41 (MAW-4) NAS Ft Worth TX, on a six mile final to runway 29 at Hanscom Air Force Base. This photo was taken last fall as I was covering a high school soccer game, and I know I should have gotten some blur in the props, but I was shooting the game and this came by quickly.
