I cant remember, has anyone posted any photo's of the new command trucks before? If not ill take some pics next shift.

Does anyone know what will happen with the curent Travis County command trucks, and who I would contact? My EMS service is in desperate need of a good used command vehicle that can tow a small trailer for huricane response and still be used around here. Thanks.

And I was last at S&W last friday, and I know the new trucks were out then, they must have found the plates on Mon.

I've posted DC 3's new command truck. I'm working on getting shots of the DC 2 and the rest on the new command trucks once there placed in service.

Just talking out of my rear end here but I doubt any will be available for sale for the next couple of years and I promise you that if one does come up for sale on ebay you do not want it, we run them till hey break fix the minimum amount possible and put them back on the streets. most have around 200,000 miles on them with no preventative maintenance program its a miracle hey even drive. You can find a used pickup or better et a used Ford Excursion for pretty freaking cheap now days with gas prices like they are, hell you can get a brand new Suburban LT 4x4 for the mid 20's cause hey are trying to get rid of them. For the sake of your maintenance budget please dont try and put anything we are willing to let go of back into service. Just my advice.

Thanks Ninja, I have been looking at them too, we are hoping our local SO will be replacing their tahoes this year, and we can get one of them cheaper with all the equipment on them. When you guys sell the b/c trucks, do the custom beds go with them?

Didn't realize how much of an area East Texas Covered till I went down there. My cousin is a flight medic out of Tyler.

Amazing.

Stay safe, Brothers.

The box is what I am most after, as we could never afford to build one new. Where do you guys sell your surplus at? if you know. Thanks again.

OK, I am jealous Tac, that is an awsome picture. I am still stuck at the EOC in Hamilton, we sent another crew, which should be with the S&W truck, if you can get a pic. Thanks.

Thanks. Here's S&W Truck 291, currently serving as Medic 21. It is a Ford E-350/AEV, but I'm not sure as to the year.

Shot this today...thought it was interesting. One of the literally hundreds of ambulances that were stagged at different times here in San Antonio due to hurricane Ike. This 4x4 AMR unit had Oregon license plates on it, while the fuel trailer had Mississippi plates.
