You got part of your wish....

We just got notice from Appleton... THE SABER LIVES ON!

The Saber has been returned to the chassis line-up for sale with 2007 Engines. It only made sense to keep the SABER since the Custom Contender was based off the same cab shell and chassis.

I wouldn't look for the DASH or LANCE to return, but at least the ARROW-XT and the SABER will continue the "Ford" windshield family line.

See you at the Ocean,

Tim W.[/quote]

Too bad they are getting rid of their best sellers. At least the Arrow and the Quantum didn't get eliminated.

West End FC of Shippensburg is located in Franklin County, PA.

It's late, I'm tired, and I may be all wet on this, but it wasn't Quality that assembled this one, I seem to recall that it was RD Murray. Somewhere in this mess I call home is a shot of it with all the correct info, but my fuzzy brain can't remember where.

I may be wrong too, I'd have to check in one of my books that I can't get to right now, but I believe Dave may be right on this.

Terry's Tid Bits II - Ladder 68 - 05-15-2007

'96 Duplex/R.D. Murray/AI 105' I believe. Corrections welcome.

Terry's Tid Bits II - dawson_fire - 05-16-2007

I won't even argue on this one!! I thought someone in Maryland had about the same thing only with Quality body work, maybe it was Hagerstown. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' />

Ok, found the book this rig was mentioned in. It's "Aerial Fire Truck" by Larry Shapiro, and it is listed in that book as having RD Murray bodywork.

Hagerstown has twin Simon Duplex/Quality/Aerial Innovation tillers, assigned to Truck Co.'s 1 and 4.

They look pretty, but leave much to be desired as far as handling and operations.

Rescue29Engine23 that is correct. the Quantum differs from the old one by having a side mount pump, a rescue style body w/rooftop coffin compts, & a couple more minor things. it has a 1500 GPM waterous pump, 750 Gallon poly water tank, and 30 gallons of foam. i have more pics of this truck
