Apparently they tried it out on an Expedition, and the chief liked it so much he insisted all their new cars be painted that way. I think it's an interesting variation on what is becoming an all consuming trend to go back to black & white cars.

I have to track down a car from a nearby department he also set up, their Charger is black with silver doors.

It's not that great a picture, shot with my little point and shoot, with its 3x optical zoom, through a tinted plate glass window. But I do like the airliner and baggage handling equipment as context.

They have another Charger that is all black with the same striping but the black stripe is white, still trying to get a picture

Anymore pictures of FD Chargers? I think I read on a forum board that a department in NY has a SRT8 chief's buggy!

Thanks

From the county where I live and volunteer, one of the five chargers now in service. The PSO originally purchased three V8's, and then got a screaming deal on two matching V6's. The graphics are new...

The older CV's used this basic striping package, which is being replaced with the style found on the Chargers.

Thanks for the photos fellas! I need to get a gig in LINY. That is a nasty chiefs' ride. I do know those cars suck if the pavement is wet.
