[/quote]Yes Sir, as far as I know it was still parked out back next to the Reserve Tanker.I didnt get to photograph it again. No idea if will stay or move to another company. To make space for the new Hazmat Unit,Engine 506 has been moved to another location for storage.

I thought they sold the previous tanker? You didnt get to photograph due to time? or them unwilling to move? Also any idea where E506 is?

The storage facility is likely the 1st Battalion's warehouse off of Wellington Road. All of the department's in the 1st Battalion (Nokesville, Evergreen, Stonewall and Yorkshire) went in together on a warehouse initially to store disaster supplies, but the place is so big, there is spare apparatus there. I know at one time there was a spare pumper from both Yorkshire and Nokesville there, along with Coles reserve tanker, and the Open Cab Hahn and the Deuce 1/2 from Gainesville.

MCSU 508 has beenmoved to FS24 and is now MCSU 524. Coles is storing a pumper and the old Tanker (which is for sale) are stored in a warehouse in the city. The batt. 1 warehouse has no room in it.

Can someone Tell me the "Battlaion" Station breakdown?

Also What do the letters mean ex: BC504Y, BC501Z, etc, etc?

Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - paganores10cue - 03-03-2012

Former HazMat 506 (plumber truck) is being relocated to the Fire Marshals Office

MCSU 508 moved to FS 524

E506 will be stored in the water tower on 234 along with other station 6 storage

K506 is still at the station, and gets used often when the new rig is out of service

Andy - Thanks for the info. When you say K506 gets used a lot are you referring to the Pierce Bravo Tanker? From what I hear she's still solid as a rock.

Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 03-03-2012

Loudoun County Hazmat 619. From what I was told this unit also carries extrication equipment. To what extent I don't know.

Yes Nate, the Pierce. I don't know how solid, but it has been reliable.
