Rosenbauer owns RK now. The RK name is pretty much gone. The new Rosenbauer aerials have a seat for the operator at the rear and there is a cover over the lifting cylinders that is usually painted body color. See posts 1894, 2938 and 3334 of this thread for other examples.

Here's one that I have been after for several years. I just happened to catch it outside this morning while the crew was having EMS training. Since they were in class, I was unable to get all the info that I usually record. This rig was purchased as a dedicated reserve pumper and the Department Chief is less than easy to deal with.

Dave, is Fayetteville swtiching to black/red from white? Or is this a "one of a kind?"
During one of my many trips to see family in Spaulding Co, we went to Fayetteville for a movie, I remember passing a station in the shopping center.

This was a stock/demo/built-for-someone-else rig that they picked up. I don't believe there is any plan to change the rest of the fleet. The station you passed is Station 92. You should have gone to the theater on Mt. Zion, right off I-75, it's much better than the one you went to.

Roswell has been buying Sutphens since 1986. This is their third platform and they have a 75' quint, along with a bunch of pumpers. They recently donated one of their twin 1991 Sutphen pumpers to an FD on Long Island that lost their apparatus during the storm. Georgia has several Sutphen departments, including Roswell, Carroll County and Rome-Floyd County. Cobb, DeKalb and Gwinnett Counties have numerous Sutphen aerials.
