Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-12-2006 Does anybody have any photos of one of the 1981 Pirsch 100-foot TDA Baltimore trucks? Minneapolis puchased two of them in 1990 from Baltimore. I believe Baltimore bought three 1981 Pirsch TDA's. Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-12-2006 Yes, Baltimore City did have 3 Pirsch TDAs. They were in-service at Trucks 12, 18, and 22. Truck 12 was totaled so they probably have Trucks 18 and 22. Are they still in service? Any other requests? Here is Truck 22: Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-12-2006 BCFDT782- Thanks for that picture of Baltimore Truck 22. In 1990 Minneapolis purchased two of the Baltimore Pirsch TDA's and placed new 1990 International S tractors on them. They became MFD Ladder's 3 and 5. Here is a shot I took of MFD Ladder 5 shortly after it went in service with the Baltimore trailer. Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-12-2006 The City of Minneapolis also made use of the Pirsch cabs from Baltimore. Here is one of the Baltimore tractors being used as the tractor on a Minneapolis street flusher. The MFD/Baltimore Ladder trucks are still reserves in the MFD fleet. Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-13-2006 From what I understand the Pirsch trucks were junk had numerous problems hence why Baltimore dumped them. One big reason was problems with the compartments not staying latched etc. as seen in the shot of 22 Truck. I got a shot of the wrecked truck it flipped going out west when the tiller tire blew and it nearly killed the guys driving the truck. I will try and dig it up Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-15-2006 Old Engine Co. 4 - Northwood Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-15-2006 Old Engine Co. 6 (ex E 15) - "Oldtown Station" Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-15-2006 Old Engine Co. 7 (Disbanded 1991) - Downtown Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-15-2006 Old Engine Co. 10 (Disbanded 1986) - Fairfield Baltimore City Fire Department - Guest - 12-15-2006 Last One for Now...
