If I recall, that Cambridge NY Mack 505A went onto a second life in Rupert Vermont, and then went into the hands of one Mack505 of the famed Firepics.net boards!

Yep, she sits not 50 feet from where I now type. Needs new brake lines, otherwise fine. I've been looking for a Cambridge shot of her for a long time.

Two minor corrections: she's a Type 505A, and her specs are 500/300. First 505A built, S/N 1001.

Glad to see the owner and Photo finally found each other. That's what this board is all about.

My contributions after scanning some old slides from my only visit to the Muster at Croton-On-The-Hudson back in 1986.

Here's a Ward LaFrance from Buffalo. Taken by me in 1997 at the Buffalo Fire Historical Society Muster.

Here's a unique piece. This Brockway Hose Tender served Buffalo NY. I forgot the details but I think the body may have been on another chassis or perhaps horse drawn at one time?? I'm sure one of you guys from Buffalo will help me out on this. Anyway, the last I knew this was owned by the Buffalo Fire Historical Society, and the picture is in front of their Museum at their 1997 Muster. Taken by me.

What a gorgous rig. Does anyone know if they still have it or where it may have gone? Hopefully someone is taking good care of it. I'd love to get my hands on it. It is sooooo nice looking.

Frank,

It was out here in the Boston area a couple of years ago at a SPAAMFA event so I suspect it is under private ownership. It was in pretty great shape.
