It was bought by a farmer and made into a tanker for the farm, which then became a dump, then later after the farmer died he left it to his kids which parked it road side and tried to sell it but with no luck. Then they sold the property to the Wine Company thats there now and they used it for a bit as a display if you want to call it but then moved it to the tree line. Relics - upstatefire31 - 07-30-2014 Heres the info on the Ward & Pirch. The Pirsch above is a 1975 year. It began life with Montgomery Community Fire Co, as Engine 6. It was originally an open cab in the rear. We built the enclosure at the firehouse over a matter of months. When it was done, it was dubbed the "Vista Cruiser". Montgomery, Ohio Engine 6 1975 Pirsch/1987 MFD Rehab 1250 GPM - 750 Tank Pirsch #3180 I had to cut and paste from another site were I had these posted. I took them over 8yrs ago when I was on my way to drop a fire truck off for service. Relics - upstatefire31 - 07-30-2014 Albany Fire Dept. Engine Company 9 then reserve engine 25. 1990 American LaFrance Century 2000 - 1500/500 Served from 1990-2001 1st shot by me 2nd shot by Ron Bogardus Relics - upstatefire31 - 07-30-2014 While I'm here..... Amsterdam Fire Dept. NY Ex-Engine Company 3 80's? International/FMC This engine did run as a front line unit for brush, trash, car, other type fires in the city. It was also used as Water Supply due to the hills in the city but was most useful with the tight areas, roads, etc. in and around the many mills that are in Amsterdam. NOTE: I loved this truck but not as it is.....It was once LIME!!!! Not this ugly red/white lol I don't know the true year but I was born in 1981, saw this truck on my 7th bday at a car fire up the street....Yes thats when I wanted to be a Fire Fighter lol.
