Wilmington, DE 1954 Mack B-75 - Rob Pryor - 03-19-2013

B95....thanks for that info.  I will post some of Wilmington's other Macks starting with the earier years. First is a 38 Mack assigned to Engine 1, unknown photographer.

Engine 1's 1948 or 1951 Mack L.  I have two nearly identical photos of this piece, 1 listed as a 48, the other as a 51. Photographer unknown.

I have another Mack B assigned to Engine 2, not sure of the age on this one, could be another (or the same 54) that Engine 1 had.  Photographer unknown

Engine 3's 1954 Mack (this might have been a hand-me down), photographer unknown

Wilmington, DE 1954 Mack B-75 - Rob Pryor - 03-19-2013

Engine 3's 1960? Mack.  Again, could be a hand me down.  Photographer unknown

Engine 5's (I have it listed as a 1947) Mack.  This more than likely, given the deck pipe, was Engine 1's 1948 or 51 Mack posted previously.  In that photo, the inlets for the deck pipe were present but the pipe was not.  This is the same deck pipe on the 1954 B-75 that was posted earlier, was handed down through several apparatus.

Engine 5's 1958 Mack (I have it listed as a 58. but not sure of the exact age), again, probably a hand me down.  Engine 5 typically got second hand apparatus from other companies as until the early 2000's, they were the slowest company in the city.  In my lifetime (I grew up 3 doors down from the station) they never got a new apparatus until 2006 when they received their current Pierce Dash.  Photographer unknown

Engine 5's 2nd or reserve piece in 1985, a 1962 Mack B-95, pictured next to their 1973 Hahn.  The Mack was originally Engine 10's and was still lettered as such.  This is actually my photo!

Another unknown year B assigned to Engine 5, photographer unknown

Engine 6, I have it listed as a 1949.  Photographer unknown

Wilmington, DE 1954 Mack B-75 - Rob Pryor - 03-19-2013

Engine 6's 1959 (if I am reading the notes right) B-85, factory photo

Engine 8's 1958 Mack B, I believe this photo was given to me by fellow Firepixer Dave Bogart

Wilmington, DE 1954 Mack B-75 - Rob Pryor - 03-19-2013

This engine is a bit of a conundrum for me.  I believe it is one of the 58 B-85's.  It is pictured on Engine 10's ramp, it is lettered for Engine 2, but the yellow coloring on the suction hose would lead me to believe it was assigned to Engine 5 (probably as a reserve or 2nd piece).  All WFD companies are assigned a color for equipment marking and Engine 5's color is yellow.

The 1962 Mack B-95 posted earlier at Engine 5, lettered for Engine 10.  Photographer unknown.

Engine 10 as a 2 piece company, 1960 FWD and an earlier Mack B.  Photographer unknown

Reserve Engine 102, a 1984 Mack CF 1000/500.  The only CF the WFD ever had.  Was purchased used from the Talleyville, DE fire company in 1995 due to an apparatus crunch.  Several of the department's very old and beaten engines had failed testing and there were no new apparatus on order.  This engine was originally owned by the Bryn Mawr PA fire company.  It was donated to a fire company in Alabama (I believe) in 2004.  This is the last pic I have of Wilmington's Macks.
