Tim,

Thanks. My friend who does striping/lettering quoted me at $500 for everything that I wanted.

Joel,

It'll be striped/lettered for my own personal department.

Pat: What does that include?

Curious to compare as to what I will be wanting/getting later this year

The 4 inch white stripe will be finished around the front of the cab. 1/2 inch blue scotch lite stripes will be put on the top and bottom of the white stripe, and go the whole way around the unit. 8 inch "87" for front of the cab by federal Q. "TRUCK" put in the white stripe on both rear compartments, as well as a 10 inch "87" on both sides. "LEWISTOWN, PA." under jump seat windows. Small shamrock with SFD on driver side front of cab. Large shamrock decal, with "87" in it on both sides where the 911 sticker is now. Redoing of the current door seal, which will include removal of current lettering and replacing with new.

Sounds great, Shoop. Did you get anything at Gettysburg?

1969 Seagrave SR 100' RM - Guest - 02-10-2012

Pat, did that price include removing of decals as well (around the Q)?

1969 Seagrave SR 100' RM - Guest - 02-11-2012

Tim,

Didn't get anything at Gettysburg unfortunately. I was hoping to pick a few things up, but nothing caught my eye. As for the lettering around the Q. I actually started removing it, to see how hard it would be. Turns out it is real easy to remove, so I'm going to do it myself. He is however going to remove the 911 decals, and would have removed the stuff around the Q if needed.

For Sale!

If anybody is interested I'm putting the ladder up for sale. I just purchased a Seagrave tiller, and really won't have the time or money for both of them. I'm up for offers at this point. Some misc. equipment will be included in the sale. Thanks. pshoop@hotmail.com

As the owner of the 2 Collingdale rigs destoyed in the Scully propane plant fire on 9/1/10, I'd be real interested in getting this truck back in the borough. Lots, and lots, of really good memories on the old girl.

Been kind of silent on this. I'm buying the Seagrave, aka "The Queen" aka "06-5" from Pat. A contingent from Collingdale #1 are going up to Lewistown Monday 4/2 and bringing her home. Seeing how her running mate, the 1970 Hahn, was burned up in the Scully fire, this will be a welcome addition to my collection, as well as a proud truck returning home to Collingdale.
