The day I visited there was a large sawmill fire in town and all of the firefighters were tied up so couldn't get any apparatus pictures.

I was down at Galax back in 2008 for a class and I was impressed with the station, apparatus and overall Department. Great group of people there!!!

I DON'T THINK BOTH TRUCKS ARE STAFFED. I HAD TO WAIT FOR THE LADDER TO COME BACK FROM A RUN TO GET THE OTHER ONE. THERE IS ALSO FOUR BAYS AROUND THE BACK WITH 2 ENGINES AND AN ATTACK.

I did get shots at Radford that I will post later. The other stations either no one was around or they were on a call & wouldn't be back for several hours which was the case at Fries.
