I am going to change the drivers side to match. The two hole spud is my favorite wheel on fire apparatus.[/quote]

Cool... nice looking truck by the way. I dont think I have even seen a true Young on the Muster circut.

Andy,

Beautiful engine.....glad it is in your hands.

Thought I would share two photos from my collection.

This is prior to rehab....unknown when photo was taken or who took the photo. I believe it came from a slide.

Very nice Mike, thank you much, I love when people post shots of rigs I own or have ridden on. The first shot is not too long after delivery, and the second had to be taken within the last five years judging by the 514.

You are welcome to come take shots anytime if you would like. That invite is open to anyone.

Some before and after shots of todays work. This is where Dansville had foam storage, I am going with the traditional Crusader look and mounting a Stang Gun in the crows nest. The Stang Gun actually came from Doyle Hose Co.1's Crusader.

Wire wheeled, painted and mounted the base.

You can notice the hight change without the extensions on the hose bed, much better looking.

This will be a much better photo with the new gold leaf.

My New 68' Young - paganores10cue - 10-24-2008

New rim added today, along with a new tire which wasn't expected. I had a seperation in the side wall.

Just like his old man, put him a moving vehicle and he is out.

Removal of the rear diamond plate, wire wheeled the rust, and repainted.

My New 68' Young - paganores10cue - 10-28-2008

Badly rusted.

My New 68' Young - paganores10cue - 10-28-2008

Andy, astounding work your doing to that classic truck.

Looks like it's progressing very well for you brother, hope to see more photos soon!

My New 68' Young - paganores10cue - 10-29-2008

Thank you, it was, I found a broken leaf spring in the front this morning.

My New 68' Young - Guest - 10-29-2008

Andy,

I know you brought up replaceing the gold leaf. What are your plans, to re gold leaf the existing paint, or remove all gold leaf and put brand new gold leaf on?
