Maryland photo's - Guest - 04-19-2009 A strange purchase for Frederick's United FC was this 1984 Spartan "Super Command Cab"/Grumman 1250/1000. I don't know if the big 10-man cab was ever filled, but the rig was a durable workhorse for over 15 years. 1991 photo by Warren Jenkins Maryland photo's - Guest - 04-19-2009 The last time I caught up with United's 91 Duplex/Saulsbury, it was still looking good from its 2001 "freshening up" by Saulsbury. Here it is on display on 9/11/05 at the open house of MSP Trooper 3 in Frederick, which was a very cool event. The rig's replacement was about 6 months away at this time. Warren Jenkins photo Maryland photo's - Guest - 04-19-2009 This was United RS 3's rig from 1978-91, a Ford F-600/Reading which strangely was painted white/orange, the only fire apparatus in Frederick so painted. It is on display and 4-sale in 1991 at the SPAAMFAA muster in Frederick. Warren Jenkins photo Maryland photo's - Guest - 04-19-2009 One of the few Frederick rigs to have a lengthy 2nd career, the 78 Ford/Reading was sold to the Blue Ridge Mtn. VFC in Jefferson Co., WV. They repainted it red, put the Federal Q back on the roof, and ran it for about 10 years. 1997 photo by Warren Jenkins Maryland photo's - Guest - 04-19-2009 The 1st aerial rig for Frederick's Independent Hose Co., this 1952 ALF 700 series 1000/0/100' was obtained and ran for several years. unknown photographer, Jenkins collection Maryland photo's - Guest - 04-19-2009 In 1988, this huge Duplex D-450-T/Grumman 1500/200/102' Tower replaced the ALF 700 aerial, and ran until it was lost in a fire in a Virginia shop in 2000. 1991 photo by Warren Jenkins Maryland photo's - Frank B - 04-19-2009
Annapolis, MD Original paint scheme Photographer unknown DESOTO collection
Get Out! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> Maryland photo's - Frank B - 04-19-2009 Friendsville MD 1959 Central Chevy C-8503 500-500 Maryland photo's - Frank B - 04-19-2009 Charlestown MD American Dodge chassis This factory photo was being used for an ad, that is why it is highlighted in white.
