Rocky Mount E5 was indeed E1 at one time. It has E\-One S.O. #121981. As far as the Ladder Companies, the 75' E\-One was originally L10 (at station 1), there was a 1979 Oshkosh/Pierce 1250/0/85' snorkel known as Platform 10 (at station 4), and a 2001 Pierce Dash 2000/350/100' platform, Ladder 30 at station 6. I have no idea why the ladder companies were numbered the way they were, except possibly to avoid radio confusion with the engines.
