Things have been a bit "slow" for me in Loudoun County. However, I will post a truck that has managed to slip through my fingers a number of times. I was finally able to catch up with it last week.
No, this is not a brush truck in the Loudoun County system, however it could be used if necessary.
Sterling Fire has two Ford F/Knapheide utility trucks. They are marked up as SERV units, or Special Emergeny Response Vehicle. SERV 618 at the Cascades station does utility type of service as well as tow several trailers.
SERV 611 does utility duty at Fire Station 11, however it is also equipped with a brush skid package. SERV 611 was originally SERV 618. When the newer Ford was delivered to FS 18, this one moved to FS 11. In 2008, it had a 400/250/10 skid package added from Vigilant Brush Equipment in New York. Depending on staffing, this can be first out on EMS assist calls, small fires, etc. It is not classified as a brush truck in Loudoun County, which makes it a bit unusual.

Ashburn recently said goodbye to three Ford F/Excellance ambulances that are now providing service in Gary, Indiana.
Two 2010 models were delivered with one going to FS 6 and the other to FS 22.
Ashburn will be receiving an additional Ford F/Excellance in the very near future.
This is 622-1, a 2010 Ford F450/Excellance.

Hamilton Voluteer Rescue Squad (Station 17) has placed into service a new "617-3".
It is a 2011 Ford F450 4x4/Horton with "half doors" that provide additional room for extra equipment.
All three of Hamilton's ambo's are Ford F's built by Horton. In addition to 617-3, 617-1 is a 2001 Ford F350 and 617-2 is a 2006 Ford F450.

Leesburg's 2007 Seagrave Marauder II 100' tiller has changed its radio designation from Truck 601 to "Truck 620".
During the summer, Leesburg took delivery of a 2002 Pierce Dash 105' rearmount to be used as a reserve truck (posted previously). When not being used, it is kept at Leesburg's older downtown station, Fire Station 1.
Leesburg's main station is Fire Station 20. The Seagrave tiller is the primary truck, thus now Truck 620.
Interestingly, this is the first Leesburg apparatus to have the "20" identifier. All other apparatus at Fire Station 20 still have the "1" designation (i.e. Engine 601, Tanker 601, etc.). I was told there are no immediate plans to change this.
Truck 620 was photographed next to Fire Station 20 today.

My opinion. Leesburg only has 1 Engine, 1 Wagon, and 1 Tanker. No need to redesignate those units yet, but with (2) Trucks in the department there would need to be a change.

It was sold in 2009 to a company in Central Tennessee that delivers training to small FD's in that area. Would sure like to see how it looks today.

While you are correct with the current Leesburg line up, I have heard that the Volunteer leadership has finally desided to make a change. As stated in previous threads, Leesburg has two Station's (1 and 20). For years, apparatus has been kept at both the Old Town Station and Plaza Street Station (which is the newer station); but the main apparatus response comes from Station 20. It has always been an understanding that the units from Station 20 were labeled with a 1. This worked until the second Truck just arrived, and with how COG (Counsil of Governments) works, they could not call it Ladder 601, this Truck Company 20 (620) was then placed in service. Word is now that this change has happened, they might be changing one of the Seagrave Engine's (Wagon or Engine 601) to 620.
Rumor had it that if/when they ever fix up old Station 1, there might be the opportunity for a live in program, plus a new and improved Station. This is also where the "Flame Room" resides, which is their large fund raising room/kitchen to the rear of Station 1. Then the apparatus labeled 601 would be assigned to Station 1, and only go to Station 20 when that apparatus is out of service.
And last, even with the addition of the new Tanker 601 (Pierce Engine/Tanker) there was also talk about the purchase another Engine in the future. I do not know if that rumor is still out there.

They did plans to tear down and rebuild Station 1. The plans I believe included an old fashion looking front with arched doors, 3-4 stories, Living quarters, fire poles, etc...with office space in the rear to lease out. The plans apparently fell through and they may be fixing up the current building. It was in pretty rough shape from what I have heard, and was mostly used as a warehouse/storage space for extra equipment and apparatus that would not fit in Station 20.
I hope they rehab the building and start running out of it. There is a lot of history from that Station, and I would hate to see it not used as a Firehouse.

Confirmed with the Chief at Leesburg today that Wagon 601 (one of the two identical Seagrave engines - the other is Engine 601) will be changed to Engine 620 - probably in the January time frame. The Seagrave engines will still rotate running first out at Station 20. The Seagrave not running first out will be kept at old Station 1, along with the Pierce truck.
He did seem to feel that old Fire Station 1 will be renovated. A decision on that is pending.
