Train Photography - photog999 - 07-08-2008 Here's another shot of both units. Train Photography - photog999 - 07-08-2008 A few miles farther north at another elevator I found this x-Conrail SW-1500 I believe. Conrail number 9330. Train Photography - photog999 - 07-08-2008 At an elevator near Schuyler, NE along the UP mainline was this x-C&NW GP-7. Train Photography - photog999 - 07-08-2008 Back to the bridge in KC is a view of a UP SD-70 that you would not normally see. Train Photography - Cyber - 07-20-2008 Snowplow caboose. Train museum - Nelsonville, OH Train Photography - Cyber - 07-20-2008 Another view of the caboose. Train Photography - Cyber - 07-20-2008 Two old Pullman cars....and down the tracks, two retired Chicago METRA commuter cars. It really WAS that dark so we headed for the relative safety of the car as a severe thunderstorm was barrelling at us. Train Photography - Cyber - 07-20-2008 The station...getting scary out there at that point. If anyone happens to pass through Nelsonville, worth a stop for a few pix. Train Photography - Cyber - 07-28-2008 But it looks like it coupled to an engine that would push it...and was "stacked" if you will, with the other cabooses along that line. Didn't look like it has an independent engine. Train Photography - Cyber - 07-28-2008 I dunno what's up with the warpy third track...I didn't venture close enough to have a look-see. Train Photography - Cyber - 07-28-2008 Train Photography - Guest - 08-01-2008 here is a cool photo i found on railpictures.net http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?...839&nseq=47 Train Photography - Guest - 08-03-2008 here are some shots from my trip to Pittsburgh 2 weeks ago. the morning Pittsburgh & Ohio Central train through Bridgeville, Pa Duquense incline while a CSX autorack train passes David Train Photography - Guest - 08-03-2008 Here is a NS double stacker crossing the OC (Ohio Connecting) bridge heading towards Pittsburgh and beyond. Also a CSX autotrain leaving the station square area under the Ft. Pitt bridge. David Train Photography - Guest - 08-03-2008 last 2 for the night Another CSX autorack train with a CSX xConrail SD40-2 leading! 2nd is Wheeling & Lake Erie power at Rook Yard. They were/are usually pushed by a locomotive with a flat car or a bax car between the Engine and the plow to act as a spacer.
Looks like welded rail to replace the jointed rail. Or was that a seperate set of tracks itself? |
