I think Engine 2 is running with the old E 3 98 Pierce out of "center house"... Engine 4 is now running with E 2's 2007 Pierce ....they still have to re number them... I think they are running 2 engines & ladder out of center house...Engine & ladder out of "dist 3" and a engine out of overlook ridge drive.... Engine 2's house "Maplewood" was "closed"..

[/quote]

I doubt they will re-number them,Malden once had three Engine 1's in the city.

Was coming home from Cape Cod today and when I was on 495, going in the opposite direction was a CF Mack that was from Woburn possibly E4. Is this engine still in service?

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 09-10-2011

Woburns only mack cf is engine 6 which is a spare, its been running as ladder 1 for 2 months.

495 is a little far from woburn anyway

Maybe a former Woburn CF Mack

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 09-11-2011

Last mack cf (engine 3) we had was disposed of in 1989 and was junked

The only other one which ran as a spare for about a year is sitting

Behind station 4 and wont run. What was seen wasnt a woburn engine.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - hadg317 - 09-11-2011

This engine was black over red, must have got the city wrong.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - jbang45 - 09-12-2011

My guess would be that it was walpoles engine 1 returning from a parade in hopedale
