Montgomery County MD - Guest - 08-16-2007 Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and this is my last available scanned image for this thread; but... the Dr. Stinebaugh photo repository staff can undertake another marathon scanning session if the audience is willing to give a little guidance about what to include? Obviously, I didn't cover everything and I realize a few companies were lightly treated. We end with a somewhat rare shot - this was Wheaton Rescue's quarters from 1958 to summer, 1969. It was located at 3211 Price Ave. in "downtown" Wheaton, and when I last saw it about 4 years ago, it was a restaurant. Looks like 1 of the 60's Oldsmobile ambos parked on the street. I worked on Bethesda Ave. for most of the 90's, and the house in the background looks a bit familiar. Great picture, keep 'em coming. I grew up just down the street from there. There was a huge stone house in the middle of the lot just about where the rear parking lot for Sta 6 is now and the the rest of the lot was an apple orchard. My parents told me that the apple orchard went all the way down what is now Bradley Blvd. where the apartments are now . So there ya go more usless info. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/computer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Cosgr <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ve Montgomery County MD - Engine2524 - 10-07-2007 [quote name='tcosgrovejones' post='154359' date='Oct 7 2007, 22:06 ']I grew up just down the street from there. This 1994 Duplex/Saulsbury 1250/750/50 for Rockville E-32 did not last long at RVFD, this one and its twin at E312 were both sold in 2001 to rural vfc's in PA.
