F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 Wow, very nice to see E68 with its Stripes again - and with LED's! Have they got a new truck? The last pics I've seen the posts told that they will no more add the Stripes. Beautiful truck! Great pics, thx at all! F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 I will add a few photos I took this time last year when I was in New York. Firstly heres one of engine 5 returning to their station. This was my local station, just down the road from where I was staying. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 One of my favourite pics from the vacation is of Engine 26 at a fire alarm in Manhattan at night. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 Rescue 1 going on a run F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 Engine 152 on Staten Island F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 Ladder 3 F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-13-2006 Messy shot of E54 at night. They were there for the annual Blue Mass which is held for FD and PD members who were LODI or LODD in the year just past. Behind it is the WTC structural steel cross that was discovered a few days after 9-11 and was moved to a prominent location in Ground Zero. In preparation for rebuilding that area the cross was moved two blocks north to the side of St Peter's. It will stay there for two years during reconstruction. (It was supposed to go to JFK and be stored there - there was enough opposition that this alternate location was chosen.) |
