Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Suedburg, PA had this beautiful 1954 Dodge/American LaFrance pumper. It had a 500 gpm pump and a 500 gallon water tank Bill Schwartz pic/Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - wardengine - 12-17-2006 scott; the pics above, the wilkes barre twp Seagrave is currently for sale, their hahn and warrior run ford are in front line with pond hill lily lake fire pa luzerne county. the dodge from suedesburg is still owned by them. idetown still has the chevy howe, which is part of lehman twp luzerne county Keystone State Relics - Guest - 12-17-2006 Keystone State Relics - Rheems1 - 12-18-2006
For those interested, this was originally Co.22 - Tuxedo-Cheverly VFC, PG CO. MD. (But did Mack build the body?? ) Also Rheems 1, where was the Brumbaugh logo on the xEverett squad? The oldest Brumbaugh logoed truck I have found is a 1940 Chevy squad truck for Lonaconing,MD.
Dr. Stinebaugh, It has been awhile since I have seen this piece, but if my memory serves me properly... it is on the rear step up into the body. I only had a couple of minutes to look at the truck as they weren't friendly at Everett and were asking me to leave. I could be wrong on this, I am definutly no where close to perfect though.
The Highspire rig IS a Hamerly. The Hamerly logo can be seen on the rear compartment door. It was refurbed by LTI around 1990, as I recall, but I can't find the info with the exact year.
After looking at that picture of it, you can indeed see the Hamerly logo on it.... I guess it was refurbed and that was removed. I questioned it being a Hamerly as well, but the guy who was showing me around said no it wasn't, it was an LTI. So that is what I wrote in and believed up to this point, it now serves the Lairdsville Fire Department in Lycoming County. I put a pic of it up under the Pennsylvania Fire/EMS thread and it doesn't have that logo on it. If you check out the pics on Highspire's website, they had two Ford C pumpers. My money is on this theory: One was the Hamerly shown in the first pic, lettered for Highspire. The other is the older Ford C at Highspire, that was refurbed by LTI and sold to Lairdsville. Keystone State Relics - wardengine - 12-18-2006 when did lairdsville aquire this engine, last i was out there they had ford KME,ford bean,,american lafrance, brush truck, ems Keystone State Relics - GA_Dave - 12-18-2006
Those are two different rigs! A study of the canopy revealed that the original rig was built by American LaFrance. It served Newtown FC [Reilly Twp, Schuylkill County] as a front line piece from December 1959 until sold to a private collector (yes, me) in October 2003. This picture is how it was outfitted when sold. This rig was originally numbered 665, but changed to 24-15 to conform with the county's modified numbering system. It was replaced by a 1978 Hahn that served neighboring South Cass Fire Company. The red "dog house" on top is/was for storage. The fire company removed the booster reel to mount it. Then then piped a a line that comes out through the the pump panel to fill Indian tanks. Photo by Dan Markiewicz.
Sorry that did not load correctly, thought is was in jpeg until it uploaded. I'll repost later. I guess that happens to all probies.
