Tower Ladder 2 has reverted back to being an aerial ladder company, their old rig was sent to Ladder 3 to replace the old tower.

That VERY interesting as Commissioner Fraser stated that it would be TL17 going to TL3. However I spoke to a member of L2 last night & they were told that the new rig will be in around September or October. They'll be using Ladder 7's old piece in the interim. Oh, and BTW, nice pic!

Easier to change the numbers on both rigs and TL2 probably had less wear and tear on it...

The fact that TL17 needs $35,000 worth of body repairs may have played a small role as well. In that area, they hit everything but the Lottery in it! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

Skip do BFD firehouses have internet?

Also what is the status of L 15's Pierce?

Yes, the department computers have internet access, but it is VERY slow due to the computers being old. We have a DSL wireless router installed in our house the the members paid for along with 2 Dell PC's that we bought for our own use. The city is in the process of running fiber-optic lines to every firehouse in the city to tie into the city's network which should make a big difference, along with the promised new computers & fax machines.

Ladder 15's piece is still OOS as far as I know, no timetable on it's return.

Any body notice the illegal blue light on the Decon truck?

I've noticed several blue lights on several pieces. What makes it illegal?
Any body notice the illegal blue light on the Decon truck?
It looks like the same blue light on the rear of Engines 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 16, 32, 33, 37, 42, 51 & 52. Ladders 1, 3, 15, 17 & 18 among others. But further research indicates that John is technically correct. Mass General Laws (MGL) Chapter 90, Section 7E allows fire apparatus to use blue lights on the rig as long as it is in the opposite direction as the vehicle is travelling (ie the back of the rig). Police vehicles are similarly prohibited from using red lights unless they are used in the same manner. Fines are no less then $100 and no more then $300. Good eye John.
