F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 02-24-2012 Ladder 4, FDNY ID # FL11010 at the USS Intrepid yesterday for a helicopter landing F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 02-24-2012 From the rear From above F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 02-24-2012 Engine 84 Engine 28 F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 02-24-2012 Engine 84 Purple K unit F.D.N.Y. - Frank B - 02-25-2012 Thanks for the Ferrara photos. I have not seen these before F.D.N.Y. - DualReverse - 02-25-2012 What's in the huge coffin compartment on the chauffeur's side of 4-Truck in the ladder bed? F.D.N.Y. - Marc - 02-25-2012
From the rear
FF Pete Conte, L-4...............And when I worked with him when he was assigned to E-54, he was the biggest truck basher............... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Love ya Pete! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/3_5_15.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> F.D.N.Y. - Juice - 02-25-2012 Funny, Engines 84 and 28 have almost the same identical dent in the side of the bumper, only 1 bigger than the other. Good photos, does the fire department always go out to the U.S.S. Intrepid for a landing? Seems like I've seen several of the same type of photos of various FDNY rigs. Trav!
I don't think landings on the Interpid are a common occurance. This one was a USCG Jayhawk. They certaintly don't land fixed wing aricraft anymore. F.D.N.Y. - goon16 - 02-26-2012 Go jacks, our fan and extension cords and the compartment on the bosses side has 3 5 gallon foam buckets tips for our ladder pipe acd ropes F.D.N.Y. - goon16 - 02-26-2012
Also the biggest and loudest sleeper FF Pete Conte, L-4...............And when I worked with him when he was assigned to E-54, he was the biggest truck basher............... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Love ya Pete! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/3_5_15.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 03-01-2012 Saw this FDNY rig sittng outside the Baltimore Convention Center / EMS Today. The FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums members came down to Maryland in this rig, which is apparently assigned to Fleet without a specific designation. I know the cabs are made of 3CR12 stainless (same as Seagrave) but not sure about the bodies. One quick way to tell. Anybody have a magnet?
