It was sold to the town of Cabrera in the Dominican Republic. Keystone State Relics - EMS 12 - 07-17-2009 Dave where did the Dodge go in Chambersburg? Thats one I missed. Thats one I missed.
It went to the Friendship Fire Department (McKinley Street Station), I can recall seeing this piece sitting in the station and them telling me it was from New Kingstown. As far as I know they were running it as an air truck but it has been so long ago since I was there when it was. There is a possiblity that this was the ever elusive Air 10 from Franklin County (a piece whose location I sitll have yet to track down although I just sent them to a working fire the other night). Dave Keystone State Relics - Guest - 07-18-2009 Franklin Air 10 sits at a house between Shippensburg and Chambersburg. You can't miss it. Dave
Friendship in Chambersburg had a 1971 Ford L-800/Gerstenslager from Red Lion in York Co. They bought it in 1989,replaced it around 2000 with a 1980 GMC/RSI mini, x-Boonsboro,MD, and orig. Harper's Ferry,WV. The Dodge/Swab rescue that Nollie posted (#4828) appears to be the same as the Mechanicsburg -New Kingstown. Air 10 for many years was a 1971 Ford step-van painted white/slime, it was replaced in 2000 with the 1980 GMC/Pierce, xWash. CO.,MD. they still have. It is a nice looking rescue truck though...I really like those Dodges. I had my eye on a Dodge, even had the fire department agree to call me when they were selling it... but a certain someone happened to swoop into the Boro of Summerhill before they called me... the person shall remain nameless but I know who he is and I have already wished a mouse the size of an elephant to sit on his birthday cake. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol2:' /> Keystone State Relics - Guest - 07-18-2009
I saw it Frank but I wasn't going to correct it since I am sure you picked it up after you posted it, we all knew what it was <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />.
