Do you guys know if the 1975 Ford C/Young was original to them ? It looks very close to Eagle of New Hope's (Bucks County, PA) rig ?

Bruce,
I do not believe that the Castleton Ford C/Young was originally ordered by Castleton. Unfortunately, the only other information I have on the truck is that it was sold/donated to Tennessee (Dekalb??) in 2004.
This Ford C has a few unique features. Any way you could post the photo of New Hope's?
We also have a source for Young serial numbers if anyone has it by chance.
I would love to know where this one came from also.

My thanks to Tom Shand for this info. The Eagle Fire Company of New Hope, PA received serial number 653 in 1975, a Ford C/Young 1000/750 top mount. Sounds like the engine.

Info on the rig from Al Powell's files. Will try to e-mail you a pic of it. They look simular - at New Hope it had a Federal Q - replaced with an electronic - there was circle D lights behind the booster reels - compartments where hard sleeve use to be on drivers side was not there at New Hope.

1975 Ford C-900/Young, canopy tilt-COE, 1000/500, top mount pump control console, $72,799, ordered 8-75, delvd 11-75, Allison MT-650 auto trans, in 1988 original gas motor replaced with Cat diesel 3208T 250HP, in 2002 was housed at sub-station-replaced with new Pierce Dash, white Scotchlite stripe added across cab front at HL level, in 3-03 offered for sale on E-Bay auction-no.2407100509 minimum bid $17,200-buy now $19,995-bidding ended 3-21-03-no bids submitted, by 7-03 donated to fc in GA ?

Does anyone have any other pictures of the Apparatus from Strasburg Va?
I thought that they had 3 very nice Seagrave's, that were all very loud! I beleive that they also run a International/Marion Rescue Squad.
