Nice stuff, Marshall! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' /> Here's a little help: Post#221 - 223 are probably Floyd photos; #221 was taken in front of the former Flintstone,MD. VFD in Allegany County. Post #222 was a 1977 Pirsch 1250/500, and post#223 was a 76 GMC/E-1 250/300.

One of the twin 71 Ford C/Pirsch engines served Flintstone VFD, and then went to Oldtown,MD. after their station blaze in 1994.

I would say that posts #224-233, posts#235-36 are from Bob Kimball.

This was offered for sale in Wheels of Time, the Antique Truck Historical Soicety magazine about a year ago. A couple of Sandy Spring volunteers inquired about purchasing it and they felt that the price was too high.

First up is a 1927? American Lafrance - built for Secaucus NY, rejected (as is my understanding), and bought by the Bethesda Fire Dept. This engine was bought by Glen Echo and delivered on Nov. 30, 1930. This was the first piece for the department.

I believe that should be Secaucus NJ, in the heart of the Meadowlands 4 miles west of midtown Manhattan, home to 14,000 people, hundreds of businesses and industries, hotels, and two broadcast tv stations. Secaucus is protected by 5 all volunteer fire companies with one of their ex chiefs presently serving as president of the NJ State Firemen's Association. It is the only town so named listed at placesnamed.com.

The Mack CF was donated in Spring,1997 to the Seneca Rocks VFD in Pendleton Co., WV. Don't believe it lasted long, by spring 2000 it was off roster and Seneca Rocks had Bethesda's xE-63 - the 81 ALF Century, which I'm not sure if they still have. (Info from MD. Fire Dispatch)
