In early June Virginia Beach opened a New FS 13 in the rural Blackwater area of the city .It replaced a older and outdated facility built in the 1950s . Their are plans on ordering a Tanker for this station soon to join the Engine and Brush Truck .

The fire department and rescue squad in Castlewood combined, and the majority of the apparatus run out of one station. The old rescue station houses several apparatus and a small boat.

Thanks! Singer brought one of them to Dunn Loring to demo when we were looking at buying our 2009. I don't know I'd buy another PUC just because there isn't a real big advantage to them in our application but ours hasn't been a bad rig.

Believe it was one that due to whatever reason the City decided not to accept after some use. Not sure of particulars.
