My FOOLS of OZ brothers and I were teaching an Engine Co Operations class in Parsons, KS. We used this beauty for the class. Fantastic machine and very well cared for.

Got an invite from a friend to shoot the 190th Kansas Air National Guard Refueling Wing Fire Department at Forbes Field Topeka. Forbes Field is a retired USAF Base and is now used by the Kansas Air National Guard. The fire apparatus are provided by the US Air Force and they are staffed with seven to nine firemen each day. They work a 48-96 shift rotation. A neat aspect of the air field is it is divided between the air national guard and public. MTAA Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority Public Safety provides Fire,EMS,Police for the public side and reside in a separate public safety house. The full set can be seen on Kansasfiretrucks.com. Enjoy!!!

Great photos, Thanks! Does anyone have a photo of the rear of the new Olathe engines?
Great photos, Thanks! Does anyone have a photo of the rear of the new Olathe engines?
They worked hard to get the lowest possible hose bed while maintaining a rear compartment from Pierce. The goal was for a basic urban style Engine. Since they have been in service for a while now. Most of the crews would like to see an even lower hose bed on the next Engine's, they feel this is still too tall.

This is a comparative shot of the Olathe PUC hose bed above vs. the Leawood PUC Standard hose bed below. Quite a difference.
