Garden State Oldies - Guest - 04-09-2007 Ah good ole' Engine 2....was a true workhorse and pumped like a champ until the day it was replaced. It is still in service somewhere up in Maine I believe. Here is a picture of the 1972 Duplex/Great Eastern that Westview Hose Co.3 of Ridgefield Park operated until 1994. It was also a 1000gpm pumper, and it is currently rusting away in a lot in Maine. (not the best picture, sorry) Credit to the Photographer Garden State Oldies - Guest - 04-09-2007 Here is the 1975 Great Eastern the day that it was officially taken out of service in the Village of Ridgefield Park. Until 1988 all werer "Comercial" chassis. Califon had the first 4 door cab in Hunterdon. Here are 44-64, 44-66, and 44-81. All with Darley body work. |
