Thanks, Bruce 1971 GMC 9500/Stuphen, canopy cab, 1250/300, 85 ft steel mid-mount tandem rear axle ladder tower, Cat 3208 diesel, 5-speed manual transmission, Barton-American pump, 6 KW Onan diesel generator - purchased used in 1987 from Jon's Truck Sales of Rogersville, Missouri for $135,000. It was originally in service in Cleveland, Ohio. The tower was refurbed in 1990 with a new platform and aluminum yoke, and additional compartments added at this time. Sold in 2001 to Northeast Fire Apparatus who sold it to the Adams Fire Company (Jefferson County, NY) who repainted it RW. For sale by Adams in 12/2011. That unit was delivered new to Fairfield, OH. Cleveland, OH never had any Sutphen apparatus built on the GMC H-Series chassis. As far as I know, it is currently collector owned.
