Prince George's County MD - Guest - 02-15-2010 I'm sure no one really cares since there were probably plenty posted but here are some photos I took when I rode along with Kentland in 2006. Great group of guys, had a blast. I wish I had time to go back often. I didn't get to take a lot of pictures and I was using my old sony digital camera. Reserve Engine Rescue Engine 33 just got back from being out of service for a few months, still wasn't back in service while I was there. Engine 33, the famous, "Jet" The old engine 331 which was replaced by the new Seagrave I believe? All the rigs out on the ramp for morning apparatus & equipment check. The old engine 331 again, like I said not the best pictures. I was just snapping pictures as I was helping out. Tower Ladder 33 Engine 33, "the Jet" Prince George's County MD - Guest - 02-15-2010 I think when I rode there that I counted about 24 Halligan Bars on Tower 33 of varying lengths...thanks for posting the pics! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/luxhello.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Prince George's County MD - Guest - 02-16-2010 Here's some from my ride along with Laurel. I was only able to grab station shots since it was snowing all weekend. Sorry about the blurry pictures, Im hoping to get better ones on our next trip. 103 on scene of an accident on I-295 103 in quarters Prince George's County MD - Guest - 02-16-2010 more... 103 after getting back from a few accident runs 104 Prince George's County MD - Guest - 02-16-2010 ..... Prince George's County MD - Guest - 02-16-2010 A while back, someone posted some pics from a ride-along with Hyattsville. They had some pretty good action shots from a fire and some nice pics of their new TDA. I've tried a search for them and can't seem to locate 'em. Anyone have ideas? He is also a chief officer in Clearwater Fl. fd. Also in regards to the whole apparatus/station designation topic. My understanding of the subject was that it was to make apparatus running into mutual aid areas easier to ID to unfamiliar IC's. It was up to each jurisdiction as to how they would implement the system. I.E. use COG numbers in everyday operations inside and outside the county or just use the numbers when you run mutual aid. My station is and always will be station 7, not station 807. But this horse has been beat many times over and until the COD changes it we have to live with it. [/quote] Just a heads up, Rick Riley is NOT very well liked in Clearwater. Search Youtube for videos by "unfairfax74" with the content CL600 vs. Pinellas County. Apparently a lot of discontent down there with the Staff Chiefs. |
