Plow/Salter
hey can anyone help hear, whats the purpose of the truck, i know what ot does but how do they use or deploy this rig? Is it used for just plowing the Rock in the winter and admin. offices or does it lead the way to calls ahead of apparatus during major winter storms?

F.D.N.Y. - Marc - 05-10-2014

That truck is used to plow Ft. Totten, which is where these pics were taken, and where the FDNY Quartermaster, Counciling Unit, and EMS Academy are located at in Bayside, Queens.

F.D.N.Y. - anesti - 05-11-2014

are you aloud to walk around that area??

F.D.N.Y. - Marc - 05-11-2014

I guess, if you can get past security.........I wouldn't be taking any pics of the NYPD TARU vehicles though that are parked just past the guard booth.....

With the new KME's on the street, what's the word on how company's like them. Any complaints or issues's?

F.D.N.Y. - R1SmokeEater - 07-27-2014

There are only 3 on the line as of now, E-153 S.I, E-97 Bronx, and E-251 Queens. 251s rig went 1st due to a 3rd Alarm yesterday.
