Let me guess FDNY kept the bucket as a spare.

Either that, or Brookfield knows someone needs a bucket, and cut it up before any inquiries could be made.

I saw 2 Freightliner Tankers(?) yesterday on I-80 going eastbound through the Delaware Water Gap. Fully marked for FDNY, no markings taped over or obscured in any way. My guess would be tank size of 1,500 gals. give or take a bit. Cute little things they were.

Sorry no photos, got surprised by them, I was going westbound and and we were going through the "snaky" curves along the river.

So, I found this kind of interesting- a 2003 with the brand new lights on the roof, and rear. https://www.flickr.com/photos/triborough/10684050563/in/pool-fire_trucks/

What's the story with Ex-Squad 61 having all mini LED light bars on the roof and rear, except for the 1 White rotating bar in the middle (under the roof nozzle)?

Trav!

That's actually an "old" pic. They have tested other light bars before as a trial on random rigs. When 61 was delivered it had all rotators, after a bit they were replaced by the LED bar, which then came on the new rigs at the time.

According to the 10th ed. of FDNY Operational Reference, two of these units have been put into service:  one for the Rail Cart Carrier and the other one for the SOC Logistics Support Unit.

So I guess I'll ask,

What does the Rail Cart Carrier do and what all kind of equipment is carried on it? I've never heard of anything like it before.
