Carts are stored at various companies and also at Special Operations Command.</b> Essentially used to remove victims/transport equipment in to and out of subway tunnels and above grade rail incidents. I believe prior to this unit the rail carts were transported in a box trailer towed by a Chevy 3500. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 09-17-2014 FDNY battery operated drive cart: http://www.firefighternation.com/slideshow/international-approach-tunnel-emergencies-compact-solutions FDNY Probationary Fire Fighter manual (starts around page 28 with photos): http://home2.nyc.gov/html/fdny/html/units/training/pdf/proby_manual/17_emergencies.pdf F.D.N.Y. - Juice - 09-18-2014 Brian Mott has photos of one of the Freightliner tankers, it appears that it's sitting in the Seagrave booth. What surprised me is, the FDNY logos weren't covered up like they were at FDIC. Trav! F.D.N.Y. - anesti - 09-18-2014 this was what the rail carts were in before F.D.N.Y. - LED138 - 09-19-2014 One of the tankers was down in Wildwood, NJ at the Firemen's Convention this past weekend. I believe Seagrave also had a refurb'd scope in the booth also. -Steve F.D.N.Y. - nozzleman - 09-19-2014 Quote:Yes.Great looking Seagrave. F.D.N.Y. - TacSupport1 - 10-03-2014 The former Ladder 61, next in line to be scrapped as of 9-24-14...... F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 10-29-2014 My first trip to New York City. Spent last week on vacation. You know it's bad there when FDNY gets a phone call lol F.D.N.Y. - Roto-Ray - 11-22-2014 These were actually taken upstate by the FDNY's IMT, which routinely responds to major emergencies throughout the state. F.D.N.Y. - upstatefire31 - 11-23-2014 IMT? I read a news report that theres alot more trucks there too, as well as 41 of the FDNY team. F.D.N.Y. - Roto-Ray - 11-23-2014 IMT - Incident Management Team. FDNY is the only federally recognized Type 1 IMT that's a structural department, all the rest are wildland fire response agencies. Here's an older article that talks about the FDNY IMT: http://www.firefighternation.com/article/wildland/go-team The Type 3 IMT that I serve on has done quite a bit of training with FDNY team, they're an incredible group to work with. That's also correct - 41 members of the FDNY SOC also responded. F.D.N.Y. - jlg1875 - 11-24-2014 Why take all 6? What if there is an incident back in NYC that they are needed for? So many other depts have put duece and a half and 5 ton rigs in service in NYS now after all the major floods that have taken place in the past several years F.D.N.Y. - nozzleman - 12-04-2014 Quote:Is this out of SOC Hq or a perm station. F.D.N.Y. - goon16 - 12-04-2014 Looks like that pic was taken at fort totten F.D.N.Y. - TacSupport1 - 12-15-2014 FDNY Ladder 46 2010 Seagrave/Aerialscope II 75' F.D.N.Y. - Athomas5784 - 02-02-2015 After yesterdays fire, I read where the FDNY had Thawing Units on scene. A search of this specific topic reveled nothing. I was curious if any firepics members have photos of these trucks and any info to go along with it. Thanks ahead of time. F.D.N.Y. - willman940 - 02-02-2015 Mike Martinelli has them on his site. F.D.N.Y. - hp1530 - 02-02-2015 Quote:After yesterdays fire, I read where the FDNY had Thawing Units on scene.
