Crew 12-2[/quote] I saw Battalion 44 and some of the LA County inmate crews up at the Summit fire. It was pretty cool to see them along with Hotshot crews from all over. That was definitely a Handcrew and Type III Engine fire. It was tough to get the dozers into some of the areas that needed them. Most of the time a copter comes in for landing they have apparatus standing by just in case. That is for security of everyone on the ground and will advise the pilot of any dangers, such as wires and light standards in the area. Most of the time, they use a nearby school yard or park. hope that helps.
