I'm not going to argue the EMS vs FIRE issue, but let me say this: Even though I am a career Firefighter/Paramedic, I think that the "EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES" on the ladder board is the most ridiculous lettering job I have seen since we used to have "FIRE / MEDICAL SERVICE" on the side of our stars & bars wagons... I mean, really. Why don't we just list every single service we provide on the apparatus? It would certainly visible with all that extra scotchlite!

Pose 3, altough not the best shot of the day, I like it with the Fort, and Old Glory waving in the background.

Question for you BCFD Buffs, what is 'Airflex'? Is it a mobile cascade? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' />

The Airflex units were first created in the early 1970's when Baltimore combined the functions of the air wagon, the floodlight units and the hi-expansion foam units into one rig, hence the name Airflex. The concept was abandoned for a few years and Baltimore ran straight air wagons, but the Airflex concept was brought back to life a couple of years ago.
