Bruce 1964 Ford C-750/Bruco, full cab, custom enclosed walk-in rescue body, 22 exterior compartments, two full length bench seats in body which converted into two 6 ft beds, 15 KW PTO generator, 351 CI gas motor, 5-speed manual transmission, originally purchased by Garrettford-Drexel Hill (Delaware County, PA). In 1980 it was sold to Roaring Spring (Blair County, PA) who placed a Ford L8000 chassis under the body in 1986.
Here is a photo. Ford C chassis Keystone State Relics - Frank B - 03-02-2010 I hope you don't mind me posting these rigs from the origional department. From Al Powell's files. Does anyone know where this went to ? Bruce 1981 Amer La Fr Century series, 100 ft mid-mount steel aerial ladder, in 1993 purchased from Charleston (Kanawha Co.),WV or Cloister,NJ sent to Northern Fire Equipt for rehab-delv due 2-94, rehab completed by Renegade Fire Apparatus-Moscow,PA, Detroit 6V92 8 cylinder turbo diesel, 4-spd auto trans, 40 gpm booster pump, 300 gal steel tank, 6 KW diesel generator, 185 ft ground ladders, in 7-07 PAFM pg 170 offered for sale-asked $55,000-negotiable available 9-07-advertised in excellent condition- in 12-07 price reduced to $35,000-negotiable
it came from closter n,j Keystone State Relics - theunknowncomic - 03-02-2010 Keystone State Relics - theunknowncomic - 03-02-2010 Keystone State Relics - theunknowncomic - 03-02-2010 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 03-02-2010 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 03-03-2010
it is still in service it is due to be replaced with a KME in the near future.
theunknowncomic, say it isn't so, Freeland is NOT buying a Seagrave? Wow!!!!. Engine 53 was always one of my favorites. Freeland has always kept their apparatus in immaculate condition. Spotless clean and hose always packed neatly, and......very, very well equipped I might add. Keystone State Relics - theunknowncomic - 03-03-2010 one reason why freeland is going with KME this time is,it's due to the fact of how close KME is to there. Keystone State Relics - OPEN CAB MACK - 03-03-2010 Keystone State Relics - Guest - 03-03-2010 The Mount Penn ALF, was refurbed in house with the addition of a tiller enclosure which was torn off of a trailer from Reading Ladder 3. The Trailer had been in a junk yard on 5th street for years, when Mount Penn went and made an offer on the enclosure. A 3 vessel cascade system was also added to the trailer, as well as flip down seating in the jump seat area, which I brought from the Ono Fire Company in Lebanon County.
