Ladder 68,

The Sutphen 75' Quint you're refering to, Mark Carr has posted pictures of in the past. As to the whereabouts, I'm not sure but hoping they still have it.

West Palm Beach still has both of their old Sutphens. Attached are pictures of them; as mentioned, one was at Ladder 1 and the other similar one was at Ladder 5. They spend a fair amount of time at the shop it seems.

Thanks for posting, Mark!

In the next couple of weeks myself and Ron Wolkoff plan on shooting; Riviera Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach and Tequesta. We also have plans to head up into Martin County... Stay tuned!!

Last one for Delray Beach is pretty unique, the Town of Highland Beach contracts Delray Beach for fire rescue services, Station-6 and all of it's equipment is owned by the town.

Here is Truck-6 a 1995 Sutphen 1500/300/95'

Alex, Lake Worth's ladder is still at the city barn. It's on 2nd Ave. North behind the Publix that's directly across the street from where we shot the Youngs. Don't know what kinda spot it's in but if you want it, that's where to find it.

Also, sometime on October 30th, one of our new Sutphen pumpers will be at the County Shop. They're going to look over it for positioning of radios and so forth. The fleet manager said he'd love it if I took pictures of it. If you care to join me, let me know.

New Deliveries!!

Like Mark stated in his thread, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue recently took delivery of five 2009 International/Horton rescue units, all of which are identical quad-cabs with the exception of R45B a 2-door cab. Of the five ordered, they will be headed to; R21, R23, R36, R45B and one not yet assigned.

Below is R21 a 2009 International/Horton.

Mark and I also had the opportunity to stop by PBcFR HQ. We shot couple unique rigs in attendance.

Here is PBcFR E910 a '94 International/E-One 1250/750 assigned to the volunteer division, Ex-Lantana Fire Rescue E35.

Continuing...

I consider myself lucky!! As we pulled up to PBcFR HQ, Special Ops-19 was parked out front, Mark was able to pose it for me perfectly.

Special Ops-19 is a 2001 Ferrara Intruder Heavy Rescue, identical to her sister Special Ops-34.

Why is this rig green? I thought that Coral Springs rigs were red?

Mark

PS lets try and include this one in one of our shoots in December.

Mark,

Little history, when the City of Parkland origionally had it's own police and fire, it was called Parkland Public Safety, everything was painted dark forest green. When the city decided to contract Coral Springs Fire Department for fire-rescue services, Parkland purchased E42 and wanted it green. So while everything else in Coral Springs is red, Parkland remains in GREEN!!

Personally, I love it!!
