Was this not the rig that stirred up all the controversy when accidentally misplaced by the Ford Heights fire department after it was donated to them. It even made the Trib and Sun Times.

How the heck can you "accidentally misplace" a fire truck?? I can understand misplacing your keys or maybe your wallet but a ladder truck? Sounds a bit far fetched doesn't it?

Thanks for posting this! My Dad was engineer on this rig for a number of years when it was in service as Engine 2. Any idea where Bloomington's 1978 American LaFrance 100' aerial ended up?
