I have another question why white over red for Trucks and Engines are soild red? Any specfic reason? thanks for the fire house info it looks great very nice.

Rick: No specific reason, other than started in the 80's, with the exception of the former L-10.

John, can't wait until you post the old Ladder 20. I always liked how strange that rig looked.

Here are a few more retired and current apparatus from St. Paul, MN.



Since Dave requested L-20, here it is. This unit has a long history, and I will try to cover it.



The unit pictured is a 1980 International Cargostar with a 1971 Thibault 100' aerial and body. The 1980 chassis replaced a 1966 International chassis. The 1966 chassis was originally part of a rebuild of a 1937 Pirsch 55' aerial, and received the Thibault aerial in 1971.

The squirt was mounted on the engine in 1989.

This one served as E-7,E-4,E-11,E17, before ending up as E-6

This 1957 Seagrave 85' ladder received an enclosed cab in 1967. It served as L-3 and L-6, before ending up at L-22.

This 1966 Ford C/Ward/Mobile Aerial Towers 85' was assigned as Snorkel 1 and later renamed Snorkel 8.

This 1981 Ford L/General Safety 1000/500 was one of two.

In 1980, Engine 17 was assigned this Midi Pumper. Ford F/Pierce 350/250



In 1976, Engine 17 was also assigned a 2dr Chevy/Pierce 350/250 mini pumper.



Neither of these was suitable for urban city use and the experiment did not last.
