Engine 5, Fulton County, GA 2014 Spartan ERV 1250/500 #213071-02 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-11-2015 Engine 5, Douglas County, GA 2013 Pierce Velocity (Demo unit purchased a couple months ago) 1500/750 #26471 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-11-2015 Engine 26, Cobb County, GA 2015 Pierce Arrow XT 1500/750/20F #28188-04 (E-9, 16, 22) This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-12-2015 I took a ride down to the Georgia Public Safety Training Center to shoot their new engine this morning. Engine 51, GPSTC FD, Forsyth, GA 2015 Rosenabuer Commander (Central States) 1500/750/30F #1646314 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-12-2015 They recently added an ARFF program to their curriculum and acquired this rig from Robins AFB. This was the first Oshkosh P-23 in the Air Force. It will receive new paint and graphics. ARFF 5, GPSTC FD, Forsyth, GA 1999 Oshkosh Ti-3000 (A/S32P-23) 1950/3000/420F/450PKP/50' Snozzle USAF Reg #99L522 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-12-2015 I also got better shots of two older rigs. Ladder 13, GPSTC FD, Forsyth, GA 1988 E\-One Hurricane 0/0/80' #6035 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-12-2015 Rescue 13, GPSTC FD, Forsyth, GA 1988 GMC Topkick/American Fire Apparatus 500/500 4x4 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-14-2015 I also stopped at the City of Forsyth FD on Wednesday to shoot their new ladder truck, but they were in the middle of a training class. I went back today and took a few pics. This rescue previously served the Georgia State Patrol. Rescue 101, Forsyth, GA 1998 Ford F-450/First Response This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-14-2015 Here is a reshoot of their first out engine, the first in the new paint scheme. This is a better shot than the one I previously had. Engine 101, Forsyth, GA 2012 Pierce Contender 1500/750 #24975 This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-14-2015 This rig was a demo at FDIC. They have had it about a month, after some paint and graphics changes. Truck 101, Forsyth, GA 2014 Pierce Impel 2000/500/75' #27362 This & That from Here & There - ScaleCentral - 08-14-2015 This isn't my pic as I never did find it while I was in Georgia, but this is probably the original version of the Forsyth rescue. This & That from Here & There - GA_Dave - 08-14-2015 Quote:This isn't my pic as I never did find it while I was in Georgia, but this is probably the original version of the Forsyth rescue. Many thanks, Nic! This may be the one, although I was told that GSP had several similar rigs. I shot another one of them at Monroe County Station 4 several years ago and asked the Forsyth guys if it was the same rig as the one I shot today, but they said the County still has that one. This & That from Here & There - ScaleCentral - 08-15-2015 While I was down there they were switching everything over to Ford F250 extended cab pickups with a fiberglass cover over the bed. There really isn't a need to have such a heavy truck for accident reconstruction. I did photograph one of those, but never did find one of the F350/FR trucks. They did usually buy multiples and probably bought three as they had the state divided up in north, central, and south at the time. Until yesterday, I didn't know GSP ever had these rigs. This & That from Here & There - ScaleCentral - 08-18-2015 This is the style of truck they went to in the late '90's for the accident reconstruction units. This & That from Here & There - firescooby - 08-19-2015 Quote:This is the style of truck they went to in the late '90's for the accident reconstruction units. That might be the case, but in 1997...EVERY GSP post got one of those trucks to use in inclement weather/off road if needed. The Gainesville GA post still uses a truck light above, but much newer for the SCRT team. This & That from Here & There - ScaleCentral - 08-19-2015 Yes, you're right on that as this one is for patrol, but the SCRT trucks were the same except what was in the back and the large round SCRT emblem. Haven't seen any of the newer ones as I left Georgia in 2000 and have only been back once.
