Once again this year, some electronic pump panels were on display.  This particular one was on display in the FRC booth.

I was disappointed with the quality of the images of this HME pumper.  See the "other" FDIC thread for better outdoor shots.

I really liked this KME from Lugoff, SC - sporting enough lights to be qualified to run calls in Maryland.

Notice the white lettering on the windshield.  This is a paper-thin piece of film on the inside of the windshield.  However, when you run your hand across it, it's not raised nor indented where the LUGOFF FIRE is.  Really neat concept.  It's hard to tell from the photo, but there's another piece of the "film" at the bottom with an additional set of turn signals in them.

This pumper also featured two push-button (electronic) pump panels - one on each side of the vehicle.

Note the discharge though the front bumper face in the second photo.

As you would expect, there were a lot of people looking over the new Boston rear mount in the KME booth.

Note the blue LED compartment lighting, and the outrigger panels covered in red Line-X.

I found a couple of images on the hard drive that would go with previous posts in this tread.

First up is a shot of the top-mount pump panel and associated intakes and discharges on the Ottawa pumper.

Next up is the manually-raised and positioned oversized traffic directional light on the back of the Lugoff, SC KME.  My VFD looked into a motorized version of this, but the price told us no, and we selected a fancy top-of-the-line PowerArc instead.

Final for a little while is this Rosenbauer Commander for the Savage, MN Fire Department.

Hope you've enjoyed so far, many more to come!

Any idea on the reason behind this?  Cost/durability/appearance?  I never saw the reason behind the polished stainless that most aerials have.
