Quote:They will be identical to the 9 E-One Metros that we put in service in 2016.
So it would be safe to assume that the E\-One Metro 100s are a hit?

Those look like pretty fantastic ladder trucks for an urban environment.  We are probably going back to tractor drawn aerials but I'd like to have a plan B to fall back on should we need to.  My only concern is the single rear axle.  I know it can be done just makes me a little uneasy.  Any idea what the axle weight numbers were on these rigs?  Would love to see more detailed photos of compartments and interior cab layout too.

Quote:Correct. Also we're going to Ocala later this month to inspect the first piece off the line, to be assigned to Engine 16. It should be in service in April or May followed by 22 identical ones over the rest of the year. They will first replace the KME's assigned to Engines 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 14, 17, 22, 33, 37, 41, 42, 52 & 53. Next to go will be the Pierces assigned to Engines 8, 9, 18, 20, 30, 32, 48, 50, 55 & 56.
Skip will 2,3,4&5 have the front bumper turret mounts like the pierces and kmes previously assigned did?

Excellent.  Good to hear.

Hopefully that will be the case with the pumpers too.

Are the new E\-One pumpers with the new "Boston Panel" on Cyclone or Typhoon chassis?

Boston Pumper Bid - KDWMAEMT - 04-03-2017

Typhoon with the Cyclone front grill

Engine 16 is in service & is getting rave reviews. The next 3 are currently at Greenwood being prepped for delivery. One is lettered for Engine 2, the other 2 haven't been lettered yet.

I saw another unit on its was north on I-77 outside of Columbia, SC today. No markings, but distinctively a new Boston engine.

Boston Pumper Bid - KDWMAEMT - 05-23-2017

Last I saw, 18 of the 23 are/were in production with a few of those having been delivered to Greenwood EV already

Boston Pumper Bid - cml0774 - 06-16-2017

Whatever happen to the KME engine that was supposed to go to E10 I think it was a high pressure pumper?

Boston Pumper Bid - SOlsonBFDL14 - 08-06-2017

We were forced to accept delivery. It will eventually be assigned to Engine 22.
