Train Photography - Richard_L_Dean_07405 - 12-23-2006 [quote name='TacSupport1' date='Dec 6 2006, 21:05 ' post='56854'] I don't know if any of you are in to train photography, but I certainly am. I love shooting trains, especially my local commuter railroad here in Metro NY, Metro North Railroad. Very nice shots. If you're not a member of the Yahoogroup Railpics, I would like to invite you, and anyone else interested. It's one of the groups that I started and it is quite active. Rich Dean Train Photography - Guest - 12-23-2006 I have been into trains longer than fire apparatus and the FD. I will start to post some of the train shots from over the years and different locations. Up first for tonight is a Union Pacific westbound about to cross the Mississippi river from East St. Louis, ILL into Missouri. YEP I am in East St. Louis. Its not as bad as everyone describes especially in the daytime. -DAvid Train Photography - Guest - 12-23-2006 Here is a westbound BNSF Doublestacker coming off Cajon Pass into Cajon station on the downgrade track. -DAvid Train Photography - Guest - 12-23-2006 One of my recent favorites. Here is a eastbound BNSF manafest passing the restored Panhandle, Tx depot into the sunlight. The Santa Fe donated the station to the city years ago and it is now the town hall. Panhandle is at least 30 or so miles east of Amarillo. What looks like a storm heading our way was the remnants of a storm the night before that hit amarillo with at least 1 tornado and 75-80 mile winds. Thats it for tonight on the train shots. I'll be posting many more in the near future and some derailment shots as well. -DAvid Train Photography - Guest - 12-23-2006 [quote name='DAvid' post='60913' date='Dec 23 2006, 21:51 ']One of my recent favorites. Cool shot!!!! Train Photography - Guest - 12-24-2006 Yea me too. Its an easy shot to get and nobody bothers you. As the post says, its eastbound and the shot is easy. In the past few weeks, I'v seen some really odd lash ups of locos.
