After a short rest on Oct. 14th this engine went down to the Tappahannack-Essex Volunteer Fire Department Jesse Chinault Memorial Parade. The trophey was Best Appearing Antique Fire Truck 25 Years FIRST PLACE. While talking to the department's chief he said that they were impressed by the pumps and were shocked the pieces ability including the very early ideas i.e. ground lights and the orginal manufacture doors (now size wise compared to "HIGHWAY doors"). Even after the parade during the dinner at the station for all participants numerous people were still talking about this engine.

On 10/28/06 Dillsburg E-64 attended a event in Baltimore, MD called Touch-A-Truck. Attending this event was a variety of light and heavy trucks. This was an event used as a fundraiser for the Baltimore Junior League. The antique fire engine was a real big HIT!!!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' />

3 of us had the chance for this race of parades. The gang had to stop by the Middleburg VFD as a pitstop. I was unable to get a shot of her at the Martinsburg, WV as this was nightime parade and was an excellant night parade. So here is a picture of her posed with the units from Middleburg, VA.
