It is. The entire PD patrol car fleet uses them as well, except theirs have a rotator component as well.

The Sheriff's Department I work for exclusively uses STAR light bars, I have no idea why. All are the rotator/LED combo except for the 2 most recent, which are 2 different style of LEDs, the newest being what you have pictured above.
