Rescue 1 Collapse is at Ladder 25 / Division 3. There is no room in Rescue 1's qtrs for anything other then the Rescue.

No, Rescue 1's Collapse rig is kept at the quarters of 25 Truck and the 3rd Division on West 77th St.

It's on Washington Ave. between East 173rd and East 174th Streets. About 2 1/2 blocks south of their current quarters.

Was this house at one time two seperate houses? Looking between the left bay door and the right one it looks as though there is a seperation in the bricks running the full height and each bay had its own entry door. Like maybe an Engine house and then a ladder house built next door?

It was the original quarters of Engine 46/Ladder 27. In the late 60's/early 70's at different times it was also home to Engine 46-2, Ladder 27-2, Battalion 56, Squad 1, Ladder 58, Bronx Fire Alarm, Bronx Base for the Fire Marshal's and in 1992 became the home of Rescue 3, Collapse Rescue and the Bronx Rac Unit.

question about R3 old quarters passed by it last saturday and there was about a dozen or so building unit vans and pickups outside taking up the whole block, now where they doing repairs in the quarters or are they converting it into a building facility?
