After he pulled it out, it started to make several different strange noises. He was glad he pulled it out and discovered the problems.

My adventures then took me across I-44 to Fenton FPD station 2. I wanted to stop and get their quint before it gets replaced soon. The bay door was recently raised, i believe to accomendate the new unit.

Next I traveled EB I-44 to Crestwood.

As I was preparing to turn into the municpal complex, the engine I wanted to shoot was dispatched to an automatic alarm. I waited until they returned.

Phil,

What was the piece in the right hand bay of MW Station #5. Looks like an older Sutphen??

The older Sutphen was being used as engine 3344 after they got rid of their Sutphen quint. It was a reserve that was inservice until the new rig arrived. It is a 1993 Sutphen. And it FOR SALE!!! I didnt want the mechanic to pull it out and something accidently happen to it. He said it was rolled when it was a few months old, but it was rebuilt and served strong for nearly 14 more years!!
